Carolyn brings an impressive track record of over 38 years in finance, accounting, and operations to BL Companies. With expertise spanning strategic planning, financial analysis, and information technology, she ascended from her role as CFO at BL Companies to assume the mantle of President & Chief Executive Officer in 2011. Earning the moniker of the “reluctant CEO,” Carolyn’s leadership style is defined by its humility and collaborative ethos. She champions a team-centric approach, prioritizing collective success and trust, a testament to her belief in the power of cohesive teamwork.

One of her proudest accomplishments was shepherding the transition to employee ownership, turning BL Companies into an ESOP. Employee ownership, coupled with her emphasis on leadership development and succession planning, has become a hallmark of BL’s success, something Carolyn holds close to her heart.
