On September 9th, BL Companies joined federal, state and local officials and other supporting partners for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new passenger facility for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA). This project will be a welcome addition for travelers and RIPTA employees alike, as it will house customer service and ticketing, public waiting and restrooms.
As part of the scope, we will be providing public outreach meetings throughout the design of the project and collaborating with many stakeholders, including RIDOT, Pawtucket Foundation, ATAC (Accessible Transportation Advisory Committee), and Rhode Island State Council on the Arts to provide the State’s requirement of 1% public art.
This is an impactful project for the State of Rhode Island – we look forward to continuing our work together to complete this project and make a lasting impact to this community.
