Connecticut Service Plazas

Connecticut’s highways are some of the busiest in the Northeast, so it’s important for travelers to have a warm and inviting environment where they can park, take a break and grab a bite. BL Companies, working alongside Project Service LLC, provided design and construction administration services for the renovation and redevelopment of Connecticut’s 23 High Service Plazas located along Interstates I-95 and I-395 and Route 15 (Merritt Parkway). The Service Plazas provide much-needed amenities to commuters and travelers, including gasoline sales, and food and beverage options. The I-95 plazas even include restaurant service. This project, completed in phases, included working closely with the Connecticut Department of Transportation and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to replace all of the fueling facilities and bring the new service plazas to life through thoughtful and innovative design. BL’s designs included upgraded site access and amenities and improvements to the exterior and interior buildings and facilities.
